Causes of Acne
The two main causes of acne occurs or contribute to the formation of the same are:
- Overproduction of oil (sebum)
- The accumulation of bacteria
Acne occurs when hair follicles become clogged with grease and dead skin cells. Each follicle is connected to sebaceous glands. These glands secrete an oily substance called sebum to lubricate the skin and hair.
