Gum Surgery
The proportion is very important to wear a beautiful smile. Even if you have very healthy gums, if covering over the teeth and make them look smaller, or otherwise, leave them too exposed, you will not be satisfied with the appearance of your mouth. There is a surgical procedure that the dentist can do to reconfigure the size and the edges of the gums.
The gum is a natural part of the teeth. When you talk and smile, especially when both are exposed to view. Do you like your smile? If you dislike or makes it look ugly is the way to the gum, your dentist or periodontal surgeon can reset it by a process which is a kind of “plastic surgery” to the gums.

That’s why health insurance do not cover this type of operation and is considered optional. However, some patients undergoing orthodontic treatment may need to reduce the gum so that it does not interfere with rubbing or applying braces on teeth, as in this case inflame.
