A danger to your health and your family

In the early twentieth century, the popularity took snuff being strongly promoted by the big tobacco companies offering free cigarettes to soldiers, achieving great popularity among the soldiers of World War II. But it was Second hand smoke and your familyhasta 1950 that became known the negative effects that smoking causes health of people. What is alarming is that smoking not only harms the person smoking, causing lung cancer, emphysema and heart failure, among other chronic diseases, but also causes irreversible damage to the people around who are passive smokers, those who know as secondhand smoke. It is estimated that in 2000 there were 4.9 million deaths caused by secondhand smoke, so it is important to know the problems it caused to our families.

Passive smoking are the people who breathe in the smoke from a burning cigarette or the smoke from the smoker. This smoke is dangerous because it contains over 4,000 chemicals, of which most are toxic substances that can cause different types of cancer. The secondhand smoke not only causes problems for adults, harms children and during pregnancy affects the mother and baby.
